ELECTRONICS SPEED CONTROLLERS

An Electronic Speed Control or ESC is an electronic circuit with the purpose to vary an electric motor’s speed, its direction and possibly also to act as a dynamic brake. ESCs are often used aboard an electrically powered radio control model.

An ESC can be a stand-alone unit which plugs into the receiver’s throttle control channel or incorporated into the receiver itself, as is the case in most toy-grade R/C vehicles. Some R/C manufacturers that install proprietary hobby-grade electronics in their entry-level vehicles, vessels or aircraft use onboard electronics that combine the two on a single circuit board.

The Scorpion has four (4) variations to which you can choose from:

  1. 4s lipo BEC series - The Scorpion Commander 15v Series Brushless Speed Controllers are perfect match for the Scorpion 22mm S-Series, 22mm HK-Series and 30mm S-Series Brushless motors.
  2. 6s lipo BEC series - The Scorpion 26V Commander Series Brushless Speed Controllers are perfect match for the entire range of Scorpion Brushless motors.
  3. 12s lipo Opto series - The Scorpion 50V Commander Series Brushless Speed Controllers are perfect match for the entire range of Scorpion Brushless motors, but these are still under modification.
  4. 16s lipo Opto series - still under process.

At Scorpion, we believe that every Speed Controller should have complete functionality right out of the box, so every one of our Commander Series Speed Controllers comes packaged with a Programming Card at no extra charge.

The beautifully anodized aluminum heat sink has all of the important parameters included, and All Scorpion Speed Controllers are backed with a 2-Year Warranty against defects in Materials or Workmanship, so you can use them with confidence.

4S lipo BEC series

The Commander 15V LBEC (Linear Battery Eliminator Circuit) series features a Linear BEC that will convert the voltage from your battery pack to 5.0 volts to power your receiver and servos. The Commander LBEC will deliver the amps specified on the ESC heat shrink and will operate from 6 to 15 Volts.

The full-featured IR Programming Card allows the user to set the following parameters:
Low Voltage Cut-off (5V to 13.8V at 0.2V increments) no need to select battery type just set the voltage the ESC should work on, by doing this, the ESC will be compatible with any future type of battery designs.

6S lipo SBEC series

The Commander 26V SBEC series feature a inbuilt switching BEC that will convert the voltage from your battery pack to 5.7 volts to power your receiver and servos. The Commander SBEC will deliver 2.5 Amps of continuous current with 4 amp bursts. And can handle up to 4 digital servos or up to 5 standard servos on fix wing models, With a Switching type BEC, you do not need to de-rate the BEC as the input voltage increases. The full 2.5 Amps of BEC current is available for any input between 2-cell and 6-cell Li-Po operation.

12s lipo Opto series

The Commander 50V OPTO (Optical Isolation) series features a system isolates the noise and interference from the receiver for increased stability and safety. It is especially necessary in high voltage and current systems. The Commander 50V OPTO series does not supply power to your receiver. It requires 4.8 to 7.4 volts separate receiver power pack attached (depending on servo voltage rating).
